About the Pageant

A Title, Crown, and $5,000 scholarship

The annual Miss Sugar Pageant selects one young lady from Hendry and Glades counties based on intelligence, community involvement, charisma, and ability to answer judges' questions on various subjects.

The winning contestant is issued a $5,000 college scholarship along with her title, and represents the festival throughout the calendar year.

What It Takes...

Complete the sign up form below; and attend the MANDATORY sign up meeting in January from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Clewiston Youth Center.
Must Have for the meeting:

Parent or Guardian present
COPY of birth certificate
Sponsor (name) and money ($100)
Proof of 3.0 G.P.A.

Practice

Entrant is expected to attend all eleven practice sessions and is encouraged to contact the pageant coordinator if she needs to be excused from a practice session.
Parent are asked to refrain from attending any practices during ‘mandatory week’.

A Good Attitude

Each year we aim to crown a queen who is a good role model, active in the community, and ready to represent the sugar industry within and outside of the community.

Our pageant is more than a competition, it is an exciting and fun educational process.
